PODIATRY

HAYLEY THAWLEY

(BHlthSc /MPodMed)

Hayley is passionate about helping people to achieve optimum physical function, so they can lead unrestricted and fulfilling lifestyles

Hayley has a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of podiatry. Having worked across a range of clinical settings within rural and metropolitan areas, she has managed a vast array of lower limb pathologies.

Hayley has developed a special interest in injury management and prevention, rehabilitation and restoring mobility. Hayley has completed post graduate studies and courses to develop her professional skill set, with a focus on soft tissue and myofascial therapies. As a runner herself, Hayley understands the frustration involved with injury and thus provides efficient injury management and rehabilitation

REBECCA FLOWER

(BHlthSc /MPodMed)

Rebecca has a background encompassing all facets of podiatry, including toe nail surgery, musculoskeletal concerns and injuries, general podiatry, diabetic and high-risk patients. Rebecca’s philosophy is to manage her patient’s concerns with a holistic yet evidence-based approach.

Prior to opening Sydney Podiatry Co, Rebecca worked in a Wollongong practice with a focus on human movement, myofascial therapies and exercise prescription. This is where she developed her interest in running, positional power and efficiency. She believes if we condition the body to become energy efficient, we will be less susceptible to weakness and injury.

In the past 4 years, Rebecca had worked across a wide demographic of patients. She understands that inefficiency of the lower limb affects people from all walks of life. This may include an ingrown toenail, that irritating corn or a sprained ankle

REBECCA CALLOWAY

(B Podiatry / B Nursing)

As a healthcare provider for almost 20 years as a registered nurse and podiatrist, Rebecca has wealth of knowledge and experience in health. Bringing a holistic, research-based and passionate approach to her patient care, Rebecca amalgamates her nursing and podiatry knowledge into her Podiatric care.

Rebecca is competent in all areas of podiatry and foot health, Rebecca is particularly interested in the podiatric management of Diabetes and other systemic conditions affecting the feet and lower limb.

Her interest in diabetic foot care has lead her to be a part of The Agency of Clinical Innovation (ACI) High Risk Foot Community of Practice. This committee allows her to keep abreast of the most recent research, treatments, and preventative, measures to ensure optimum foot health and improve quality of life.

Rebecca is passionate about health care being available to all and thus offers home visits. Let her bring her expertise to you in the comfort of your own home or come to the clinic and meet the lovely Rebecca.


 

HAND THERAPY

LEITH NICHOLSON

(B Occupational Therapy)

Leith graduated from the University of Queensland in 1993 with a Degree in Occupational Therapy.
She worked in Paediatrics before specialising in Hand Therapy. She worked in London, UK in both Public and Private Hospital Hand Therapy and Rheumatology departments for 10 years.

From 2005 - 2013 she developed Hand Therapy Specialists: Her private hand therapy clinics in London and Kent in the UK.

She then returned to Australia and worked in a Private Hand Therapy clinic in Macquarie Street in Sydney for 3 years.

She completed her Internationally recognised Hand Therapy Certification in 2012. Leith is an Accredited Hand Therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association. Leith is passionate about ongoing education and staying up to date with current research and techniques in Hand Therapy.
Leith has extensive experience in managing acute, chronic and traumatic hand injuries and conditions in adults and children. She has two little girls and is settled with her husband in the northern beaches. She is relishing the opportunity to again develop her own practice, Harbour Hand Therapy in Balgowlah in Sydney.

Ashley Brunner

Ashleigh is an experienced Dietitian, Sports Dietitian, a qualified Yoga Instructor and the Business Owner of Body Fusion. Her inspiration to become a Dietitian stems from her desire to help clients discover how a balanced and sustainable diet can help prevent and treat chronic disease, promote longevity and/or optimal sports performance. Ashleigh specialises in private practise consulting and believes in an individualised approach for her variety of different clients.

One of Ashleigh's fields of interest and expertise includes Sports Nutrition. She was a competitive representative in netball, soccer, surf life saving and swimming, and she regularly enjoys ocean swimming, surfing and yoga. Ashleigh has worked/works with the Triathlon NSW, Gymnastics Australia Team Future, NSW Gymnastics Tumbling and Men’s Artistic Squads, The Australian Ballet, swimmers attempting the English Channel, various rowing/swimming/soccer squads across Sydney and is currently a committed team Dietitian for a history breaking Antarctica Crossing happening in 2021. Ashleigh helps each team or athlete unlock their full potential through adequate hydration and nutrition education. She is now a resident Dietitian happily working with the NSW Institute of Sport, supporting athletes leading into Tokyo 2020 and beyond! She also holds private contacts with the NSW Trampoline High Performance Gymnastics squad and Tennis Australia.

Having trained formally in presenting, Ashleigh is a skilful and engaging speaker. She lectured at the Fitness Institute of Australia and the Australian College of Physical Education and continues to offer up to date, trustworthy nutrition information to groups of all sizes & ages. In the last few years Ashleigh has worked extensively with ballet and performing arts studios across Sydney. Her team specialises in this group's nutritional requirements, offering on-site presentations, workshops and individual consultations to optimise performance.

Whilst diversifying the business more into the wellbeing space, Body Fusion has also been designing and presenting a large amount of engaging and practical Corporate workshops to improve productivity and enjoyment of work in this population. With a huge and popular word of mouth, this area of the business is very quickly growing and evolving into a mini business of its self!

Being an ardent cook you'll often find Ashleigh in the kitchen during her spare time. She has a wealth of knowledge about food products and enjoys developing healthy menus for individuals and organisations.


 

HYPNOTHERAPY

Vanessa Donlan

Vanessa has been in the holistic health industry for 25 years. Working as an Aromatherapist, Massage Therapist, and a Beauty Therapist, since she was in her 20’s.

The relationships built with clients, along with trust, meant her clients would share alot with her. She felt she could help her clients more, so in 2016 studied NLP, Neuro Linguistic Programming, and Hypnotherapy, adding to her list of modalities. Vanessa believes that true beauty comes from within, and by clearing negative emotions and limiting beliefs her clients are able to truly shine.

MICHELE MCKENZIE

Hello, I'm Michele and I'm passionate about reflexology and how it can make a positive difference to the way we feel, physically, mentally and emotionally, whatever our level of health and well-being.

Originally from the UK I have been in Australia for 11 years and live in Balgowlah Heights with my better half Giles and our sport crazy 6 year old son Oli.
I'm a fully qualified Clinical Reflexologist and Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage Therapist and a professional member of the Reflexology Association of Australia, as a member I abide by their comprehensive code of practice, commit to my ongoing professional development and also I'm fully insured.

I’m a healer with a gentle, calm approach, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient way possible.

I have a special interest in children's and women's health however very happy to treat the whole family.
